As an established fabric supplier, we produce elegant and innovative  fabrics for the very top designers and architects; supplying both the residential and commercial trade markets.

KOTHEA’s trade customers would perceive our signature fabrics to include several ranges of velvet including the exclusive ‘cashmere silk velvet’, mohair velvet, cotton velvet, silks, silk velvet, linens and handwoven linens, double-width sheers, faux leather and interesting weaves for upholstery. Many of our fabrics have high Martindale ‘rub tests’ making them highly suited to both contract and residential projects.

Founder and Executive Director, Lisa Parsons started KOTHEA more than 10 years ago after 11 highly successful years with Nobilis Fontan in Chelsea and Donghia in Chelsea Harbour. She says, “At KOTHEA we like to think we bring something a little different to the market. Our difference will be reflected in our customers’ eyes by unusual fabrics that complement our core fabric ranges; all augmented by our excellent levels of customers service, market knowledge and attention to detail.”

This blog is written by KOTHEA’s employees. We write it in an informal, but hopefully useful, way. Sometimes the authors might call themselves “The Lazy Marketer” or “The Accidental Interior Designer”. Please do not take those titles too seriously, the Lazy Marketer is a way of getting you to focus more on your creative side by doing productive marketing in the most time-effective way. Similarly, at KOTHEA, we never claim to be interior designers but sometimes the “Accidental Interior Designer” rears their creative head and strays into writing about areas where many interior designers know best; yet to some the Accidental Interior Designer will have soem valuable insight perhaps from a more independent viewpoint.
